My travel insurance covers me for excess up to $5000, what I'm confused about is when they say "covers up to" in Alamo CDW wording meaning if we wreck a 50k car they will only cover up to 3k, my insurance covers up to 5k and I have to fork out the rest. Has anyone rented Alamo through rentalcars website? If so, which CDW do they include? CDW1 (Maxi Waiver Saver): covers ALL damage or loss and loss of use. CDW2 (Waiver Saver 3000): covers up to $3,000 of loss CDW3 (Waiver Saver 500): covers up to $500 of loss I wanted to find out what kind of CDW is included so I asked both Alamo and Rental cars and couldn't get an answer out of either of them (rentalcars just pasted what's above and ignored my second email). * Insurance ( - Collision Damage Waiver - Theft Protection - 3rd Party Liability - Supplementary Liability Insurance - Uninsured Motorist Protection ) I booked a car through and I got Alamo as the company, rental cars say this is what's included:
